The Georgetown Beard Club was conceived in 2015 as a way for bearded, civic-minded men to challenge the often-negative stereotypes associated with beards and make a positive impact in their community.

What began as a simple idea has grown into a full-fledged 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving Georgetown and the greater Central Texas area. Throughout the years, the GBC has raised and donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to local charities and community projects, helping support organizations that make a real difference close to home.

The Georgetown Beard Club is deeply rooted in the community and proudly shows up wherever help, celebration, or support is needed.

We are regular participants in many of Georgetown’s most loved events, including the Red Poppy Festival, Mardi Gras celebrations, Market Days kickoffs, the Lighting of the Square, Community Thanksgiving, Christmas caroling, and the annual Christmas Stroll, where we always bring the fun and a strong sense of community spirit.

When our community needs support, we step up. In response to the Fourth of July floods, the Georgetown Beard Club raised over $57,000 to directly support flood victims, demonstrating the power of a community that comes together when it matters most.

Beyond major events, our members regularly give back in hands-on ways. You will often find us meeting on Saturday mornings at Gold Burger Diner before heading out to help clean up and beautify the Georgetown Square.

Through service, fundraising, and visibility, the Georgetown Beard Club has become a familiar and trusted presence in Georgetown. We are proud to be more than participants - we are partners, advocates, and neighbors committed to making our community stronger.

The Georgetown Beard Club is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to making a meaningful impact in our community by supporting local charitable organizations and community-focused projects.
