About Us
Who We Are
What the heck is the Georgetown Beard Club? The Georgetown Beard Club is comprised of men with hairy faces and even a few women (without hairy faces). But we are much more than that.
First and foremost, we are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. At our core, we are simply a congregation of citizens who are just looking to make our community a better place one small step at a time. We do this by working with or on behalf of local non-profit and other organizations in need to help them carry out their respective missions.
About Us
The GBC was conceived in 2015 as a way for bearded, civic-minded guys to improve the often-negative image the public holds of bearded men. From there the group has grown into a full-fledged 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to serving Georgetown and the Central Texas community.
Throughout the years, we have raised and donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to local charities and projects.
Things We Do
The GBC is a regular participant in the Red Poppy Festival and Christmas Stroll parades where we always bring the fun. We support local charities and charitable causes whenever possible and advocate for local businesses on social media.
We also meet up on most Saturday mornings at Lamp Post Coffee to clean up the Georgetown Square.
Mission
The Georgetown Beard Club is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to making an impact in our community by supporting local charitable organizations and projects.
